Ex-library Franziska Porges Hosken (1919 - 2006), author of a number of important works on architecture and urban history and planning, with her ownership stamp. Borobudur is a 9th century Buddhist stupa in Java, Indonesia. It is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. Its main dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues. The monument is both a shrine to the Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage. This booklet was issued on the occasion of its 1983 reopening.
