Pencil dated (17 5 84) inscription to his major benefactor in the United States, Harvard and Radcliffe educator Julia Phelps, who almost singlehandedly introduced Janssen to the USA art world. Janssen, perhaps one of the best and most creative German draftsmen of post war Germany, writes in his inscription to "Julia" (Phelps) "ich liebe Sie." A wonderful association copy.
