Possibly Christie's most sumptuous catalogue ever. Portugese magnate and collector Antonio Champalimaud specialized in 18th century French painting, sculpture and furniture, with a major subspecialty in 18th century Italian objects as well. The two-volume set oozes beauty. Part of a collection of 75 auction catalogs from 1924 to 2005, from a prominent collctor, which we added to our inventory and website recently.
