This is a very good and important document of Lotte Jacobi's personal interest in and commitment to the Weimar Berlin stage. Here she is busy photographing the rehearsals for Walter Mehring's "The Merchant of Berlin," capturing the set designer Moholy-Nagy together with Strasser, who made the images to be projected on the back wall, and the fellow photographer Reissmann. Hidden behind the camera is artist Paul Urban. A wonderful and important image from Weimar Berlin. Very scarce.
