This is the exhibition catalog of a show at Finch College Museum of Art in New York City from November 1974 thru January 1975. The exhibit explored Art Deco architecture and its influences which matured between the two world wars, especially during the two decades of the 1920s and the 1930s. It is known as the age of the skyscraper and did not exist in New York alone, but throughout the United States. Public awareness focused on Art Deco following the Paris Exposition of 1925, having before that been discussed in Europe, but largely ignored in the US. This exhibit was designed to present examples of Art Deco in American architecture from coast to coast.
