A lovely example of 1920s letter press work, here as a "Gesamtkunstwerk" limited edition collaboration between a series of skilled bookmen. The original text was concluded "vor etwa hundert Jahren." OCLC locates only one copy, presumably not this version ("Baerenreiterdruck von 1923), at NYPL. Of utmost scarcity and desirability. A lovely example of low German dialect, letter press work, in period coloration, here in a wonderful children's Christmas story.
