Berlin: Verlag Ernst Wasmuth, 1948. 4th edition. Original publisher's binding, cloth over boards. Quarto, pp. xvi, 96. Contains 96 photographs with an introduction by Karl Nierendorf (text in German). Very Good, no DJ. Item #495
A beautiful copy of this hard-to-find title, mentioned in Roth's Book of 101 Books (in photography). The images show Blossfeldt's ability to see art in the pure abstraction of nature. At one and the same time very artful but also an example of the "Neue Sachclichkeit" (new sobriety) in art and photography of the 20s and early 30s.
