In 1887, Edward L. Dawes and William A. Myler started their own company in New Brighton PA. By 1893, Dawes & Myler were producing enameled cast-iron bathtubs. This was the first general catalogue that this company distributed. The products included in the catalogue were new in design, and Dawes & Myler had exhibited at the world's fair and won three gold medals, so their future looked bright. But only a few years later, in 1899, Dawes & Myler merged with eight other companies to form Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company, making a Dawes & Myler catalogue a scarce find. The engravings are beautiful.
