Clifton, NJ: Edward W. Heimer & Co., nd. Original edition. Matted artwork. Three samples, each measuring 3" x 6.25", enclosed in a 8.5" x 13.5" mat, with Heimer labels on the mats. The labels indicate the Clifton, NJ address, which makes these samples post-1949. Very Good. Item #23187
The Edwards Heimer Company has been a family tradition for four generations. Georg Heimer studied stain glass design in Munich in the 1880s, and worked there as a designer until he relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1929. His son, Edward Hiemer, apprenticed with his father in 1916, and founded the company in 1931. The current president is Edward's granddaughter and her husband. The company designs, fabricates and installs ecclesiastical stained glass, and their works are installed in over 1,000 North American churches.
