Shepley Bulfinch is an international architecture, planning, and interior design firm with offices in Boston, Hartford, Houston, and Phoenix. Shepley Bulfinch created these posters for holiday greeting cards and gifts for their clients. The Ames Building is located at 1 Court Street in downtown Boston. Considered to be Boston's first skyscraper, the Ames building is the second tallest masonry load-bearing wall structure in the world. It is thirteen stories high with a three-story granite base, and sandstone and brick walls. Construction was completed in 1893 and the building was used as corporate headquarters for the Ames family's agricultural tool company. The Ames Building was added to the list of Registered Historic Places in Boston in 1974. A beautiful rendering of an excellent example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture.
