The introductory articles are invaluable, focusing on the profession of architecture as it evolved in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and on the interest in the drawings the architects produced in their work. The work, which accompanied an exhibition of its drawings at Boston University, and then at The National Building Museum, then presents ca 60 noted architects and gives case study background on the drawings which became illustrious New England buildings.
