Paint Advertisement on Glass.

nd c. 1920. Glass sign. 27" x 13.5" half circle of glass adorned with 22 paint colors; a label has been torn away on the reverse side. Very Good. Item #21266

Wonderful early 20th century paint advertisement on glass, with the sample paint colors in the form of an arched fan. It appears to have some Art Deco style points in it. We think it dates to early post-WWI, when the development of fast-drying paint took place. With some distinctive color names, we had hoped to find the manufacturer (Chinese red, tobacco brown), but we've been stumped so far. A mystery for the buyer to solve!
