This book takes us from the birth of the American Barn in the 1600's and shows us the progress through the ages. It also shows different roof styles, and hardware as well as how to "raise" a barn. One of the better barn books, for many reasons, not the least of which is Sloane's accurate line drawings abundantly scattered about the text.
