Eric Sloane was an American landscape painter, illustrator, and author of illustrated books on the cultural history and folklore of America, many of which have been featured in our newsletter over the years. This is the first time we've been able to offer one of his limited edition prints, and it is beautiful! There is a similar black-and-white image in his "I Remember America" book, but this image includes color, a background, and more detailing. Andrew Wyeth, who was a fan of Sloane's art and writing, said he was amazed by Sloane's "unorthodox painting methods for creating textures and lines" in his paintings, and called him "an Artistic Treasure of Americana." A beautiful work of art, professionally framed, ready to hang in your home or office.
