The Small Home of Tomorrow.

Hollywood, CA: Murray & Gee, Inc., 1945. First edition. Cloth over Boards. Quarto, pp. 95, illustrated with b/w perspective drawings and house plans. Very Good; front cover slightly bowed. Item #20876

Paul R. Williams was an internationally known black architect who specialized as a creator of livable homes, having designed over 2,000 homes in Southern California and in various sections of the US, Mexico, and South America. Many motion picture stars and executives in Hollywood and Beverly Hills lived in homes designed by Williams, including Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball. This book contains 40 of his designs, and includes sections of the kitchens and bathrooms of tomorrow (love the idea of operating the bathroom water with a foot pedal!), and the modern garden. A scarce and very desirable book.
