Troy, NY: Behr-Manning, 1933. First edition. Staplebound Wraps. 16mo (3.5" x 6"), pp. 28, illustrated with b/w photographs and drawings. Very Good. Item #20499
This company created several different kinds of abrasive papers and cloths (aka sandpaper), using three natural minerals (quartz, garnet, and emery) and two manufactured minerals (silicon carbide and aluminum oxide). The booklet explains the coating process, the drying process, and how it is stored and shipped. Recommendations are made for wood and metal working by hand and with different kinds of machine sanders, and there is some information on the history of the company. Scarce and attractive.
