Jon Brooks is firmly rooted in his native state of New Hampshire. He took his first art classes at the Currier Museum Art Center as a boy. While studying at Rochester Institute of Technology, he displayed a grasp of the three-dimensional form, and his most interesting artwork is in the sculptural furniture category. He often arrives at form from the conformation of found tree limbs, stumps, and logs, whose shape suggest certain functions. This book accompanied the exhibition at the Currier Museum of Art in 2011.
