Pierre Esquie (1853-1933) was a French architect, with such achievements as the market hall in Carbonne (Haute-Garonne, 1882); Basilica of Saint Germaine de Pibrac (Haute-Garonne, 1896), and Rochefort station (Charente-Maritime, 1909-1911). This volume was his solitary venture into authorship, first published by Schmid in 1897.
