Their goal was beautiful homes at moderate cost. And these homes were quite unusual and lovely! The house of the month was located in Loma Portal, California, and was an English manor house with a recessed doorway framed in stone. The interior had a Gothic arch leading into the dining room, and the bedroom had a barrel ceiling. Each building featured in this issue had unusual, charming features like this home did, and makes for interesting reading. Scarce; we've never had this issue before.
