In 1857, a group of the most distinguished architects in the nation founded the American Institute of Architects. This book honors the centennial of the founding by examining the work of Baltimore members of the association. Some buildings are illustrated by plan drawings and vintage photographs, while others were photographed for the book in the 1950s. Quite a useful reference book for those who are interested in the history of Baltimore's architecture.
