From what we can decipher from the Italian, this is a theoretical-practical course of civil architecture, that is the students' vignette containing the five orders of Giacomo Barozzi compared with the old and the modern, enriched with historical notions and aesthetic and critical observations on the same, problems and other examples and application exercises for the students' architecture in the application schools of engineers, architects, academies of fine arts, technical institutes, and schools of drawing day and evening. The author is commendatore Giuseppe A. Boidi-Trotti, professor of architecture and topographic design and machines at R. Professional Technical Institute of Turin at the Government Technical School Giovanni Plana, and the Twin Public School of Geometric Design and Applied Mechanics at the R. Hotel.
