Pittsburgh, PA: Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co., 1936. First printing. Staplebound Wraps. Octavo, pp. 38, many color photographs & drawings, includes ads for Pittsburgh products. Very Good. Item #19892
This booklet was distributed by The Studio of Creative Design at Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. It covers all the usual problems of interior and exterior decorating, and suggests ideas for how to deal with them: a unique window treatment, the smart use of a mirror or two, a touch of vibrant color, and more. Many interior views reflect the design styles popular in the 1930s, and most have several renderings with different color choices so that the reader can get an idea of how color would change the appearance of the room. A very good reference for 1930s style.
