[Architectural Monograph]. Pennsylvania Cement Company.

Ten Drawings by Hugh Ferriss Showing notable Architectural and Engineering Construction wherein Pennsylvania Cement was used

Pennsylvania Cement Company New York 1917 Quarto, Ten (10) Color renderings. The renderings themselves are in Near Fine condition.
The creater of Gotham (of Batman and Robin fame)and one of the most influential architectural renderers ever, Hugh Ferris cloaked his buildings in fog and clouds, evoking dark and moody settings. Buildings, a fountain, the Hell Gate Bridge over the East River, a dam over the Essex River in Vermont, and the Department of Interior Building in Washington, D.C. are just some of the structures shown in this scarce collection of renderings. The Department of the Interior Building (an early "Moderne" design) was Roosevelt's first New Deal building and was designed by architect Waddy Butler Wood.
