Vermont Marble Company VT 1922 (circa) Small octavo pamphlet. pp 23. b/w photographs throughout.
This historic booklet offers an unusual perspective on marble as a building material. The subject of the photographs and descriptions are memorials and monuments to heros and loved ones, such as the Arlington Memorial Amphitheater, built in the early 1900's to commerate soldiers and sailors. Several facts and characteristics of the stone are described, as well as some fact and figures pertaining to the Vermont Marble Company. A very scarce and interesting piece.
