[Tiles and Glass]. Darling, Sharon S.

Chicago Ceramics & Glass: An Illustrated History From 1871 TO 1933.

Chicago Historical Society Chicago. IL 1979 Oblong octavo, pp 221. Including index. b/w photographs throughout. Some color plates.
A book comprised of two sections, one on Decorative Arts, and the other on Architectural Arts, shows the development of these materials after the Great Fire of 1871. This was a period when the Arts & Crafts movement, Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis Sullivan, all had great influence. A very good historical review with good sections on terra cotta and stained glass.
