Apocalypse.

[Literature]. Lawrence, D.H.

Apocalypse.

Viking Press New York 1932 12 mo (5 3/4 X 8 1/4), pp. xxxii, 200, introduction by Richard Aldington. This commentary on the Book of Revelation was written while Lawrence was suffering from tuberculosis, from which he died in 1930. As he struggled to accept both his own death and his continuing life as he survived each bout of illness, he wrote Apocalypse to be "a kind of last testament, a last effort to make himself understood by the very many who had either not listened to him or had failed to understand him" (Aldington's Introduction).
