This is an important and influential work on French architecture by Julien Gaudet, who won the Prix de Rome in 1864. He also served as professor at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, where he himself had been trained. This impressive collection brings together all the material accumulated during his career as a teacher. First 2 volumes only, in a beautiful edition of this work, in excellent condition.
