Ein Berufsbild im Wandel: restaurieren heisst nicht wieder neu machen.

[Restoration]. (Buchholz, Ralf and Hannes Homann, Editors).

Ein Berufsbild im Wandel: restaurieren heisst nicht wieder neu machen. Eine Ausstellung zum Thema Restaurierung

Hannover 1994 Quarto, pp. 61. Illustrated with before and after examples of current standards in conservation. The exhibition centers around the changing profession of the conservator, maintaining that "Restoration doesn't mean just making the object new again." Text in German.
Very scarce catalog of an exhibition that traveled extensively throughout Germany in the 1990s. Very thought-provoking, challenging the notion that "restoring" was the way to go, rather than the currently held approach of minimalist intervention by professional conservators.
