Historic Millwork: A Guide to Restoring and Re-creating Doors, Windows, and Moldings of the Late Nineteenth through Mid-Twentieth Centuries.

[Millwork]. Hull, Brent.

Historic Millwork: A Guide to Restoring and Re-creating Doors, Windows, and Moldings of the Late Nineteenth through Mid-Twentieth Centuries.

Wiley Hoboken, NJ 2003 Quarto, pp. 204. Indexed, richly illustrated with diagrams and photographs. Contains Glossary and Bibliography.
Brent Hull, noted preservationist and millwork specialist, researched the history of his specialties for years, gathering hundreds of rare trade catalogs and pattern books (I know, because he purchased dozens of them over the years from me!). The result is this Wiley published title, the first major attempt to write the overview of historic millwork. As ambitious as the subject is, Hull's book does it justice: beautifully illustrated, technically quite detailed but written with the professional and antique homeowner in mind. A hard-to-find new title which we are offering below list price.
