Nice copy of this hard-to-find title, mentioned in Roth's Book of 101 Books (in photography). The images show Blossfeldt's ability to see art in the pure abstraction of nature. At one and the same time very artful but also an example of the "Neue Sachclichkeit" (new sobriety) in art and photography of the 20s and early 30s. Also in stock is a lovely copy of the 3rd printing, 1941, with a lightly chipped but striking dust jacket, very scarce, at $500.
