[Metal]. Copper & Brass Research Association.

Ornamental Store Fronts and Building Entrances in Bronze Examples of Modern American Design and Craftsmanship

Copper & Brass Research Association New York 1926 Quarto (8" x 11"), pp. 83, short text and notes to the plates; 32 full page plates printed in a light gray against a pale yellow ground. Illustrated throughout with striking illustrations and designs selected by the selection committee.
The selection committee included three people: Raymond Hood, George Chappell and John Meade Howells. The store fronts depicted here were chosen for their high style. They are of deluxe shops like Cartier, Revillon Freres, Child's Restaurant, Saks & Company, Black, Starr & Frost jewelers, etc. The shops are from all over the east coast. Architects and metal workers given for each plate. The publication is as impressive as the store fronts selected.
